Police Blotter – Milpitas – 7/3/19 – 7/9/19

July 3, 2019 

BLK CENTRE POINTE DR. 

A caller reported an incident of a dixie cup stuck to a skunk’s head. Milpitas Police ensured that the skunk emerged unharmed. 

S PARK VICTORIA DR.

Police received a domestic battery call involving two people. The male half of the pair, born in 2002, was arrested. He’s a juvenile, at 17 years old.

July 4, 2019

S ABEL ST 

A husband and wife domestic violence call. The male, born in 1980, was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.

July 5, 2019 

STARDUST WY 

A victim called in reporting fraudulent bank account activity. An officer took down a report documenting the fraud. 

MILMONT DR

A vehicle fire was called in, with smoke rising from under the car’s hood. But just as the police were pulling up, the vehicle suddenly drove away. 

GLACIER DR 

A woman called 911 complaining that the San Jose Police Department keeps on calling her and bothering her. Before the 911 call ended properly, she hung up. 

July 6, 2019 

GREAT MALL DR 

A call came in from Diamond Ring Company at The Great Mall. The store clerk said that a customer had sneakily switched watches on him. A Milpitas Police Department Beat officer made it to the scene and arrested the suspect just as he was walking out of the store. 

FREMONT BL / LAKEVIEW BL

The Fremont Police Department called, letting Milpitas Police know that from their area, around Fremont Boulevard and Lakeview, about 100 racing cars were headed southbound toward the Milpitas border. Milpitas Police were advised to keep an eye out for the racers.

July 7, 2019 

GIRARD DR 

Someone called in reporting that they had randomly found an urn filled with ashes. A day-shift officer went out and picked up the urn. Days later, somebody else happened to call in asking about the urn, which belonged to their family. They ended up getting the item back.

July 9, 2019 

CARDOZA PARK 

A caller complained about juveniles throwing rocks at a fence. One rock went over the fence and hit a window, but did not break it. The cops came and told the kids to stop it.

  1. Why is this outdated police blotter being reported now, July 22?

    Also, please cover the HUGE fire along 680 between Landess and Calaveras, east side along north bound side.

    4 separate fires started, endangering homeless encampment along there. Ambulances sighted, so probably some were badly hurt.

    • Actually, we printed this Police Blotter in our newspaper the other week, so we are just reposting it here on the website. There is a new Police Blotter coming out tomorrow as well with more recent occurrences.

      Also thank you, we are gathering information on the fire!
