Following the crimes, the Milpitas Police Department (MPD) released video footage to the public of the thieves in action. On October 24, a resident got in touch with Milpitas detectives regarding the female member of the trio.

She is a 17-year-old female. Her residence is Oakland. Detectives cited her for the package thefts at an Alameda County juvenile facility.

The two male thieves have not been identified.
