The Milpitas Beat is joining forces with the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce and the Milpitas Community Educational Endowment to support local restaurant owners, while helping families in need.
On Thursday, April 9, we’re co-planning a Takeout Thursday at Ta’s Restaurant on 90 Abel Street in Milpitas. On this day, we’re encouraging the Milpitas community to order takeout from Ta’s, a spot that specializes in modern Vietnamese cuisine.
The idea is that we come together to concentrate all of our support on a particular business for one day—and then, over the coming weeks (for as long as the shelter-in-place order exists), we will choose different restaurants to offer support to.
For each Takeout Thursday, we’re also going to donate food from the chosen restaurant to 10 families in need.
If you’d like to pay for a meal or two for families who need them most right now, the donation amount is $20.
For families in need, Ta’s Restaurant will be serving a menu of: Egg rolls, BBQ Pork, and Fried Rice with Egg and Shrimp.

Please consider ordering takeout to support a locally owned business, or donating toward feeding a family in need. During these COVID-19 times, every little bit will most definitely help. #StayStrongMilpitas
