Sutter Health is in the midst of a bold expansion plan.
Earlier this month, the not-for-profit healthcare system opened one of its newest locations – a high-quality primary Care Center in the heart of Milpitas.
Located at 100 N. Milpitas Blvd, the center boasts a spacious interior designed with care and intention. The 22 exam rooms spanning pediatrics, family medicine, and internal medicine are fully equipped to provide a safe, comfortable, and accessible experience for patients.
This past June, Sutter opened a new Care Center in Livermore. This year alone, Sutter Health is opening seven sites across their Greater Silicon Valley division, and next year will see the opening of seven more.
Come late 2025, Sutter is also planning on opening a multi-speciality facility in Santa Clara, which will serve as their flagship location. Their robust network of locations ensures that patients have access to all the services and care they need.
“There’s this aggressive growth strategy for us as an organization, to be able to go into areas that we don’t have a footprint in and be able to bring care to these communities,” said Sutter Health’s Regional Operations Director David Villanueva in an interview with The Beat.
Villanueva also spoke of the options that Sutter’s Milpitas patients have when they’re referred out to different specialists. They can go 10 miles to Fremont to access over 40 speciality and sub-speciality medical services. And of course, when the Santa Clara location opens, they’ll be able to access that as well.
At their Milpitas center, Sutter Health also has lab services and on-site imaging. As the organization is conscious about the well-being of its employees, the Milpitas location also boasts a relaxing atrium space along with a well-designed breakroom.
“Our mission and values are around two things – patients first and people always. We always look out for not just our patients, but our people. So that our people are in the position to care for our patients,” said Villanueva.
Sutter Health’s treatment of employees is evidenced by its staff’s longevity.
Villanueva has been with Sutter for 19 years. Meanwhile, Lisa Nieve, Senior Director Administration, has been with Sutter for 32 years. Nieve believes wholeheartedly in Sutter Health’s mission and the ways in which the system is designed to care for patients.
“Sutter Health is a one-stop shop with phenomenal high-level care,” Nieve said.
