Police Blotter – Milpitas – 9/26/19 – 10/7/19

September 25, 2019  

 E CALAVERAS BL

A vehicle burglary was reported after the fact; no info on the suspect available. 

DEMPSEY RD

A maintenance worker at a hotel was attacked and bitten by a guest’s dog. The dog was taken in by Animal Control. 

September 26, 2019 

GREAT MALL DR 

Within an approximately one-hour time frame, several vehicles were broken into at The Great Mall. No info on the suspect available. 

GREAT MALL DR THEFT 

A vending machine was broken into, though it took about a month before its owners discovered and then reported the crime.

Two suspects were cited for shoplifting. One provided the officers with a false name and was then booked for having lied to the police. Upon discovering his real name, the police found an outstanding warrant on the individual, which lead to yet another charge. 

September 27, 2019 

GREAT MALL DR

Two groups of individuals, a mix of men and women, got into a verbal altercation in the Dave & Buster’s parking lot at The Great Mall. When what was verbal became physical, the police were called. However, no injuries occurred and no one wished to press any charges. 

September 29, 2019 

GREAT MALL DR

A San Jose resident phoned the Milpitas Police Department (MPD) about her missing son, whom she believed to be at The Great Mall. Milpitas Police personnel checked the mall area but could not find him. The case was referred back to San Jose authorities.

September 30, 2019 

WOODRUFF WY 

A youth at a residence was acting out, and the cops were called to mediate and make sure all was OK.  

October 1, 2019

A burglar broke into several lockers at 24 Hour Fitness, stealing a variety of items. No cameras in the locker room meant no video, and the suspect is unknown. 

DELANO ST

A male subject entered a property unlawfully and proceeded to lock himself in and refuse to leave. He was arrested for trespassing as well as possessing drug paraphernalia. 

MONMOUTH DR 

When two youths walked off, their parents reported them missing. But they were found about an hour later, just hanging out. 

MIDWICK DR

A dog was discovered on the loose. Officers determined where the animal belonged and brought it home. 

October 2, 2019 

E CALAVERAS BL

A female juvenile was walking to school when a male suspect in a gray vehicle whom she’d seen several times before asked her for her name. She ran to school and reported the incident. The suspect is of Middle Eastern origin, age 35 to 45, clean-shaven, and wears glasses. 

MCCARTHY BL 

An employee at a business was caught taking money. With the subject identified, an arrest warrant was issued. 

October 7, 2019 

S ABEL ST 

A family’s relative was released from jail. However, the individual never returned back home. The family thus filed a missing person report…
