Last Sunday, March 28, Milpitas community members gathered for a Break the Silence, End Asian Violence march and rally. Joining together to speak out against the wave of Asian hate crimes across the region and the U.S., residents marched from Lee’s Sandwiches on Calaveras to City Hall, where they listened to a series of speakers. The event was planned by Malaya South Bay, Milpitas Unified School District, Uplift Family Services, and the San Jose/Silicon Valley NAACP.
