On Saturday, November 4, the City of Milpitas hosted a Dia De Los Muertos celebration at Cardoza Park.
Before the celebration officially kicked off, there was a Sugar Skull 5K run/walk, which many families and individuals participated in at 9am. After the race, participants received a medal, t-shirt, and swag bag.
To kick off the celebration, there was also some lively drumming and dancing by the Bay Area Aztec Dancers, along with great performances by Mariachi Mexico de Gilroy.
Deceased loved ones were also honored at the Community Altar de Ofrenda Showcase, which was full of stunning photographs, colors, and flowers.
