Longtime Milpitas resident Adalyn Indihar will be turning 100 this July.
Adalyn was born in Galesburg, Kansas on July 24, 1924.
She married Ludwig Indihar in 1945, and the pair went on to have four children together.

It was in 1957 when the Indihars moved to Milpitas from Kansas. Adalyn became very active in the community, and was one of the founders of St. Elizabeth Church in the late 60s. At the church, she was also in charge of the altar society and worked in the rectory office.
In 1968, Adalyn and her husband started building their house on Evans Road, using some of the very same brick that was used to build St. Elizabeth. She currently still lives in the house.
Adalyn was married to Ludwig for 73 years, until he passed away in 2017. Along with having three sons and one daughter, Adalyn has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Adalyn feels a strong connection to the people and community in Milpitas, which is why she has chosen to stay here for the past 67 years.
When asked how it feels to be turning 100, she replied: “It feels pretty darn good.”
Adalyn’s birthday will be acknowledged at the 8:30a.m. mass at Saint Elizabeth’s on July 24. The public is invited to attend.
