Carmen Montano: “I have been told that it is a councilmember who is orchestrating these attacks…”

Dear Editor:

In all my years of public service I have never witnessed such vicious, mean-spirited attacks on council members, which has included myself being called a racist. These cowards hide behind the curtain of online public comments now due to Covid-19.   

Evelyn Quedado Chua is accused of being a racist against Hispanics. This is absurd! She is Filipino American with a rich Hispanic heritage! She is my friend and is one of the most considerate and giving persons I know. She does not execute any ill will towards anyone and she is always volunteering to help and works hard to help our community.  

I have been told that it is a councilmember who is orchestrating these attacks and if it is true it needs to stop.

To those who are part of these vicious schemes, I advise you to stop. The truth always comes out at the end. The good people of Milpitas do not like negative campaigning and vote for their candidate by their merits.  

Let’s move forward and keep Milpitas at the forefront with positivity.
