MHS Hosts Latino Student Achievement Award Ceremony

Last Wednesday, October 24, at the Milpitas High School Theater, students, families, teachers, school board members, and community gathered together for the Latino Student Achievement Award Ceremony. 72 students were honored during the program, which featured live music, a photographic presentation, a rose ceremony, and even a special duet performance with Milpitas High School principal Francis Rojas and Master of Ceremonies Dr. Gerry Lopez, an Early Childhood Development Coordinator for the school district. Police Chief Armando Corpuz was the guest speaker.

Rhoda Shapiro
Rhoda Shapiro works as a journalist and media consultant in the Bay Area. She has written for both the Tri-City Voice and the Mercury News, and is the founder of Chi Media Company, which works with nonprofit organizations to elevate their marketing and communication platforms.
