Milpitas’ Main Street will be transformed for a special Holiday Magic event in December.
From December 4-19, between Weller Lane and Carlo Street, there will be a stage, a movie screen, food vendors, entertainers, activities, and even a synthetic ice rink.
The ice rink, which will be installed and operated by Ice America, will be open to the public during the event, and even for group reservations, along with introductory skating classes during the week, from 1pm-4pm.
Skating will cost $10 per person. There’s also a $2 skate rental fee. People are also free to bring their own ice skates to avoid the rental. Discounts are offered for groups of 10 or more during the weekday special hours ($2 off per person).
An inflatable movie screen will be set up behind the parking garage at the Milpitas Library. The schedule is as follows: The Grinch (12/7), Santa Buddies (12/8), The Santa Clause (12/10), White Christmas (12/13), Shrek the Halls (12/14), and Polar Express (12/15). All movies will start at 6:30 p.m. and are free for the public to enjoy.
On weekdays, there will even be various themed nights for the community to take part in:
Monday, December 6: Stocking Stuffer Savings Night
Stockings filled with discount coupons from local merchants will be given to the first 300 people who arrive.
Tuesday, December 7: Ugly Sweater Party
Guests can wear holiday sweaters and also meet the Grinch!
Wednesday, December 8: Santa Paws Night

Thanks Milpitas Beat. Looks like a fun new event. If no food vendors are available at event, any recommendations for food places near by?
There are also going to be food vendors at the event! We will update the article to include that as well. Thank you for the question!
