#PracticeKindness is a global movement around World Kindness Day (on November 13th, 2019) with the intention of discussing, practicing and celebrating our common humanity, kindness and compassion at the workplace and in our personal lives. The #PracticeKindness events are a chance to bring our community together and to share practices to encourage kindness and connection.
The session, hosted by Priya Kasturi, will be super interactive, and we will:
- Explore the science of kindness and compassion
- Practice a mindfulness-based kindness exercise
- Discuss how to integrate kindness into our lives
- Act by making a pledge to bring more kindness to the world
About Priya Kasturi
Priya is a coach, mentor and facilitator in emotional intelligence-based skills that lead to sustained peak performance, strong collaboration, effective leadership and wellbeing. Priya is a certified teacher for Search Inside Yourself, a flagship emotional intelligence-based leadership program called from (SIYLI) Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute and a graduate of their Engage program. With her extensive experience, she strives to bring insights to support organizations, communities, and individuals become more self-aware providing clarity on their values and goals, and to design strategies and practices that lead to self-excellence. Priya has a 22+ year career track in directing programs and projects for life science companies. Priya teaches and is also certified in yoga (RYT200), yoga for veterans, Power Pilates, group fitness, and personal trainer. In 2010 – 2012 Priya served as board member and subsequently as board president of Narika, a non-profit organization, serving women in South Asian community. She volunteers her time at local libraries, and other non-profits in the US and India.
